Gifts of Grace

As each one has received some spiritual gift, he should use it to serve others, like good managers of God’s many-sided grace — 1 Peter 4:10

Restated in your own words – As part of God’s grace, each one of us has received spiritual gifts that we should use to serve others

Application to your life – I have taken many spiritual gifts tests and see that the skills and abilities God has placed within me compliment those gifts. I do a pretty consistent job of sharing those gifts with others, although there are some areas where I need to surrender more.

What I never thought of is that those gifts are part of God’s grace. By not using those gifts, I am holding back his grace from others. I wouldn’t want someone to do that to me and already there are so many not sharing their gifts. I don’t need to be one of them.

Lord, forgive me for the times I have selfishly allowed something stand in the way of me sharing your grace to others through the gifts You have given me. Let me be diligent to see the opportunity before me and seize it for Your glory and honor. Let me not take the gifts You have given me for granted. In Jesus name. Amen.
