Passage – Rather, to the extent that you share the fellowship of the Messiah’s sufferings, rejoice; so that you will rejoice even more when his Sh’khinah is revealed. If you are being insulted because you bear the name of the Messiah, how blessed you are! For the Spirit of the Sh’khinah, that is, the Spirit of God, is resting on you! 1 Peter 4:3-4

Restated in my own words – You used to live by the flesh and now that you don’t jump in and follow the crowd, they insult you.

Application to my life – Reading that list is like a flashback of my life. I think of myself and the old friends that insulted my change in lifestyle saying I thought that I was better than them. As I chose not to engage in those activities it saddened my heart then to feel all alone in the world. It saddens my heart now because I want everyone to have a relationship with Christ that brings them peace, joy and love.

Your response back to God – Lord, thank You for changing my life and helping me to walk away from that old lifestyle. I pray that any remnants would be removed in the name of Jesus. I ask for every person that has insulted me, Lord that they would encounter You and all the blinds would be removed from their eyes and minds. I ask that they might know You and become the person that You desire for them to be. Help me to be a light. I love You Lord in Jesus name I pray, amen.
