All Authority is His

Passage – He has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities and powers subject to him. 1 Peter 3:22

Restated in my own words – Jesus went to heaven and is seated on the right side of God all authority belongs to Him.

Application to my own life – I’m not sure why I allow the enemy so much room in my life when the Jesus I serve has authority overall. He is seated at God’s right hand. I’m in Christ and Christ is in me. If I am seeking Him I will find Him. If I ask, He will answer. Many times I fail to ask even though He is the final authority.

He is the only one that every knee will bow too. So why don’t I ask? He has been so faithful to me in all my 42 years. Far beyond what I deserve. Yet in His great love for me He has commanded authorities and powers to have little effect on me.

Your response back to God – Lord, when You have accepted me every step of the way, why do I fear rejection in all that I bring or offer to You? Why do I fear You would turn me away in Your great love for me? All power and authority bow to Your command. Angels obey You and have guard over me. Lord I fear rejection from so many but I know I don’t have to fear You. I want to bring all that I am, all that I have, and all that I have to offer to You. I want to become all that You design me to be. I want all that You want to empower me to be. Bind the powers and authorities of rejection and lose your angels in my life. I love you Lord.
