Watching and Listening

Passage – For Adonai keeps his eyes on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their prayers;
but the face of Adonai is against
those who do evil things. 1 Peter 3:12

Restated in my own words – The Lord watches those who are right with Him. He listens to their prayers in anticipation of responding. But He is against those who do evil.

Application to my own life – It is empowering to know that God is watching me and listening to me. He isn’t against me but is attentive. I am called to be more attentive to those around me. I am called to connect, watch, listen, and engage. I have the character of Christ so I can do that.

Your response back to God – Lord thank You for keeping Your eyes on me and listening to my prayers. Help me to be more like You.
