Wander

Passage – For you used to be like sheep gone astray, but now you have turned to the Shepherd, who watches over you. 1 Peter 2:25

Restated in my own words – You used to wander away from God but now you trust His voice and let Him watch over you.

Application to my life – As I look back at the trials I have faced in my life, although I often pressed into God, many times I would wander off, seeking my own solutions. God would then have to bring me back.

Now I hear His voice often before the trial starts. I follow His voice the best I know how. I listen to His voice throughout the trial. He is the One I seek. I sought Him in my job loss and I am seeking him as Tim is looking for a job. I know that God is our Provider and that He will meet our needs.

Your response back to God – Thank You Lord that I can hear Your voice. Thank You that I can seek Your face and find peace and comfort in Your presence. Thank You that I know to turn to You instead of wandering off! You are a faithful God!
