Die to Sin and Live Righteous

Passage – He himself bore our sins in his body on the stake, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness — by his wounds you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24

Restated in my own words – Christ bore our sin in His body on the cross so that we could die to sin and live righteously. We were healed by His stripes.

Application to my own life – The same sacrifice that allows me to die to sin also allows me to live righteously. It also allows me to be healed. They come together as a package. If I can walk in healing I can live dead to sin and live righteously. Christ did it all on the cross for me and everyone else. Living righteously is a matter of heart. Living dead to sin is a matter of behavior and living in health is a matter of body soul and spirit alignment. God gave these gifts to us. How amazing is He!

Your response back to God – Lord You have done so much for me and there is so much I take for granted. I want to walk in complete freedom that You died for me to have. no sin, living righteous, and healed. Lord I need Your help. In Jesus’ name amen
