Freedom

Passage – Submit as people who are free, but not letting your freedom serve as an excuse for evil; rather, submit as God’s slaves. 1 Peter 2:16

Restated in my own words – Our freedom in Christ cannot be used as an excuse to do evil things.

Application to my own life – I think sometimes I speak truth and justify it as such even when in reality it is spoken to prove a point and not done in love. Need to guard against doing that because it is evil. Because I am free to do something doesn’t mean I should.

Your response back to God – Lord forgive me for using my mouth to speak evil. Help me to walk in the true freedom of Your kingdom and not the illusion I have created as freedom. Thank You for Tim’s open doors. Thank You for this opportunity to go to California and just relax. Let me give You glory and honor in all things, amen.
