Silenced

Passage – For it is God’s will that your doing good should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. 1 Peter 2:15

Restated in my own words – Our behavior towards those in authority silences foolish people with our good deeds.

Application to my own life – I want to speak out and so often I feel silenced. But God called me for my actions to silence the ignorant not my voice. There is so much outcry right now with lines divided by our nation. Regardless of feelings we need to honor authority.

Your response back to God – Lord, help Your people to unite in love under the authority of the government over them, to silence the ignorant. This problem’s solution won’t come from man it will come from You!
