His Mercy

Passage – Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; before, you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. 1 Peter 2:10

Restated in my own words- Before I was a foreigner, now I am a part of God’s people. I now have received God’s mercy.

Application to my life – Sometimes it’s easy to feel like I don’t belong even in my own family, workplace, church, and group of friends. I feel like an outsider, a guest that is tolerated at best. But God and His loving mercy made me part of His people. He showed me mercy. He lets me see me as He sees me so that regardless of how I feel I can be secure in Him.

Restated in my own words – Lord, thank You for making me part of Your people and for making me receive Your mercy. I love You.
