Cornerstone

Passage – This is why the Tanakh says,

“Look! I am laying in Tziyon a stone,
a chosen and precious cornerstone;
and whoever rests his trust on it
will certainly not be humiliated.”

Now to you who keep trusting, he is precious. But to those who are not trusting,

“The very stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone”; 1 Peter 2:6-7

Restated in my own words – Jesus is the Cornerstone to all who believe, He is chosen and precious. We will not be humiliated trusting in Him. Those who don’t trust die rejecting Him.

Application to my own life – The cornerstone is the first rock laid and the rocks the witch every other piece of the project is positioned around and finds relationship.

My position flows from Christ and my purpose flows from that relationship. And yet I don’t always trust this. I feel like at times I work to justify or even fight for my position. Or I look for my place based on relationship to others. He is the piece that matters.

Your response back to God – Lord let me keep my trust in the cornerstone and see that everything flows from Christ.
