Living Stone

Passage – As you come to him, the living stone, rejected by people but chosen by God and precious to him, ⁵ you yourselves, as living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be cohanim set apart for God to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to him through Yeshua the Messiah. 1 Peter 2:4-5

Restated in my own words – As you come to Jesus, you are living stone. You are being built into a Holy Temple set apart as a holy sacrifice acceptable to God through Christ Jesus.

Application to my life – I become alive as I allow Christ to live through me, as I sacrificed my will and surrendered to His. The Holy Spirit is housed in me, so that I can live for God. This is not by my own power but by the power of God. I am a holy temple but I am also a stone that is part of a bigger part of the God’s Church. I need to be willing to do my part in the kingdom and surrender and obey.

Your response back to God – Lord thank You for Jesus who came to save me and who makes me right with You. Let me be submitted and obedient today to all that You call me too. I ask this in Jesus name Amen
