Fear of Judgement

Passage – Also, if you are addressing as Father the one who judges impartially according to each person’s actions, you should live out your temporary stay on earth in fear. 1 Peter 1:17

Restated in my own words – God looks at our works while we’re here on Earth, so conduct yourself accordingly with fear of judgment.

Application to my own life – Only recently, like in the past decade, in my Christian life have I thought about the judgment for my actions when I face God. I am thankful for His grace and forgiveness but I never thought of answering, especially for the years I walked away and led others in the wrong direction too. I know I can’t go back in time and change that; but I can live my days going forward and strive to live wholly and right through Christ.

Your response back to God – Lord, You and I both know I’ve lived wrong before You. Thank You for Your forgiveness, grace, and mercy. I lift up those who were led astray by my actions, help others point them back to You. I don’t want to stand before You and be judged for a living wrong, I surrender to You Holy Spirit to your guidance and direction.
