Holy

Passage – On the contrary, following the Holy One who called you, become holy yourselves in your entire way of life; since the Tanakh says, “You are to be holy because I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:15-16

Restated in my own words – Follow the Holy Spirit’s leading and become holy in every area of your life. You were made in God’s image and He is holy.

Application to my life – When I focus on the areas of my life God has transformed, it’s easy to think I’m doing good. But there are areas in my life I’m just now starting to let the Holy Spirit guide me on. He will teach me if I follow Him and stop trying to do it on my own and in my own way.

Your response back to God – Lord, I want to be holy as You are holy. I know that You have given me everything I need to live holy, if I will only follow the One who called me. I need to be more obedient. More of you lord less of me!
