Inheritance

Passage – to an inheritance that cannot decay, spoil or fade, kept safe for you in heaven. 1 Peter 1:4

Restated in my own words – There is an inheritance for us in heaven that cannot decay, spoil or fade.

Application to my life – There are little treasures in my home that were left by my parents and my husband’s grandparents. They’re not worth much and they will one day decay. They are safe for a little while but eventually nature will take its course. The inheritance that I treasure is knowing those before me who left a legacy of prayer and serving God. They are the footstool for me to build upon. My treasure is not here on Earth but is stored up for me in heaven.

Your Response back to God – Lord, thank You for the inheritance You are storing for me in Heaven. I am grateful for the legacy also of believers who went before me.
