Passage – For we are slaves. Yet our God has not abandoned us in our slavery, but has caused the kings of Persia to extend grace to us, reviving us, so that we can rebuild the house of our God, repair its ruins, and have a wall of defense in Y’hudah and Yerushalayim. Ezra 9:9
Restated in my words – God gave the Israelites favor even in the slavery they were bound. He did not abandon them, that gave them favor with the leadership. That Grace allowed them to rebuild, repair, and have protection where they were.
Application to my life – Even during difficult seasons in my life, God has been there. He has never abandoned me. He has used those times to work in me. He rebuilt me. I know I’m not the same person that I used to be. He rebuilds the foundation, strengthening my faith. He repairs the broken areas. There are places in my life where He has touched the brokenness, repaired it, and now uses those areas to minister to others. He has been my protection. Not that I haven’t faced attacks but He has been the one who protects me.
Your response back to God – Lord thank You for Your restoration, repair and protection.
