The Foundation

Passage – They sang antiphonally, praising and giving “thanks to Adonai, for he is good, for his grace continues forever” toward Isra’el. All the people raised a great shout of praise to Adonai, because the foundation of the house of Adonai had been laid. Ezra 3:11

Restated in my own words – Finishing the foundation for the temple had the people giving praise to God. “Thanks be to God for he is good! His grace continues forever!” they shouted in praise.

Application in life – How often do I allow myself to really celebrate the foundation that was laid in my life? To really stop and praise God for his goodness and acknowledge his grace in my life? Do I allow myself to shout with praise and join with others in my praise?

Your response to God – Lord I praise You for the foundation that I was blessed to build my life upon. A foundation that was built on You. I thank You Lord for teaching that I received and the experiences that provided a stable place for me to grow. I thank You for all the lessons I learned along the way. I praise You for Your grace that has kept me. You are a good, good God. In Jesus name amen
