Protective Grace

Passage – He shows me grace; and he is my fortress,
my stronghold, in whom I find shelter,
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
who subdues my people under me. Psalm 144:2

Restated in my own words – God shows me grace. He alone is my protection and my stronghold. He covers me. He guards me. He is the place where I can hide.

Application to my life – I love that God is the one person I can be real with. He is the one I run to. He is my shield when I feel attacked that I can buffer the attack. He is the place I can go and feel safe. He is my protection. I really don’t know how I learned to run to Him; maybe out of necessity because I didn’t feel anyone else was that consistent. I am thankful He has placed people in my life like that but I am also glad He is still my One.

Your response back to the Lord – Father God thank You for always being my fortress. Thank You for being my refuge, my stronghold and my shield. Thank You that You are my shelter. Thank You for Your consistent presence in my life.
