Strength and Grace

Passage – But as for me, I will sing of your strength;
in the morning I will sing aloud of your grace.
For you are my fortress,
a refuge when I am in trouble. Psalm 59:17

Restated in my own words – I chose to focus on your strength and Grace. You are the fortress I can hide in a refuge and I’m in trouble.

Application to my life – One thing I have learned to do through the years is to hide in God. Many people run to others when they are in trouble. I prefer to go to God. Maybe I learned it out of necessity but however it came about I am thankful. He is where I can find strength and comfort. Although I run to Him, I don’t always stay focused on recognizing His strength and power or His grace. It is easier for me to focus on grace than strength.

Your response back to God – Lord, You’re always a fortress and refuge where I can come. I see your grace regularly. Help me to begin to see Your strength. In Jesus name Amen
