Sow and Break Up the Ground

Passage – If you sow righteousness for yourselves,
you will reap according to grace.
Break up unused ground for yourselves,
because it is time to seek Adonai,
till he comes and rains down
righteousness upon you. Hosea 10:12

Restated in my own words – We need to behave and sow righteousness and we will reap God’s grace. We need to seek God and let Him break up the ground in our life and in our world that has been unused so that He can come and reign in righteousness in those areas.

Application to my life – There are areas in my life both good areas and areas where God still needs to work that I need to allow God to break up the ground. And talents that have laid dormant, areas that are hidden that God needs to be allowed access to clean and restore. I have to sew the righteousness, I have to be willing to let him break up that in my life that has been unused so that it can be used for him.

Your Response back to God – Lord I don’t want to waste anything that You have given me. I want all I am to be used for Your glory. Help me to sow righteousness always. In those areas where I am wasting the gifts and talents You have entrusted to me, let me see where and how I can use them for Your glory. Where there are unused areas in my life, I ask You to break the ground. I want to be used for You. I give You access to everything. Show me where to sow and where to break things up that Your righteousness can be revealed. In Jesus name. Amen.
