Intentional

Passage – and said, “Adonai, God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth below. You keep covenant with your servants and show them grace, provided they live in your presence with all their heart 1 Kings 8:23

Restated in my own words – Samuel prayed before the people saying “Lord, God of Israel, there is no God anywhere like You. You keep Your promises to Your people. You show them favor as long as they live in Your presence intentionally and wholly.

Application to my life – Yesterday I wrote about being intentional and showing God’s grace to others. Pastor Curtis preached out being intentional in growth. I have God’s presence with me always because the Holy Spirit lives inside of me. I was not just made to serve into the Lord. I am His daughter. He keeps His promises to me and I see His grace, not only in favor but in empowering me to live right.

The wholeheartedly part is up to me though. I have to be intentional with my heart, with opening it up to Him and choosing to live in what is available to me. God is good like that. He is like no other god. He gives me the ability to choose and is faithful while I am learning to make the right choices in my life. He wants me to be intentional in seeking Him, in listening to Him, and obeying Him. He is faithful to keep His word and to show His grace in my life.

Your response back to God – Lord You are good, good Father. There is no other God like You. Thank You for saving me, for loving me and forgiving me. Thank You for Your grace. Help me to be willing to be intentional towards pressing in deeper to You. Lord, put guardians and stewards in my life that will help me to grow in my relationship with You. I want to know You more and grow in You.
