Passage – But we do see Yeshua — who indeed was made for a little while lower than the angels — now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by God’s grace he might taste death for all humanity. Hebrews 2:9
Restated in my own words – Jesus lowered Himself to suffer death for all humanity by God’s grace. Yet He is now crowned with glory and honor.
Application to my life – So often it is the positions of power that we seek, yet in God’s grace Jesus came to pay the price for my sin. His Grace sacrificed His son, for us. His glory and honor belonged to Him. I need to make sure that I don’t seek to be lifted up but instead lift up Christ to be glorified and honored.
Your response back to God – Lord forgive me for the times where I have sought glory and honor for myself. I want to give it all to You for the price You paid for me. I want to follow the path You have for me, not my own.
