Poor and Sick

Scripture – Don’t rob the poor and sick! For the Lord is their defender. If you injure them, he will punish you. Proverbs 22:22-23

Thoughts about what this scripture means – The Lord is the defender to the poor and the sick. We shouldn’t rob or injure them or He will punish us.

Application to my life – My mind goes to those who are enslaved in human trafficking. God is their protector. See that at some point, it is up to us to stand in the gap, educate, advocate, and help.

Response back to God – Lord help me to consistently stand in the gaps for the needs I see. Help me to educate about the needs, work to help those who are poor, sick and at risk.
