Scripture – It is better to have little and be godly than to own an evil man’s wealth; Psalm 37:16
Thoughts about what this Scripture means – It is better to be poor and godly than rick and evil.
Application to my life – I took that word little and made it poor, which isn’t what the Scripture says. Someone can have a little and still have enough to meet their needs. It just depends on how they budget the little. It’s the heart attitude behind the finances. Is it godly? If it is, it won’t matter how little I have because God will bless it for His purpose. If the attitude is evil (or just wrong) despite what money can buy it can never bring contentment.
Response back to God – Lord, help me to have a godly attitude towards money and possessions.
