Given back

Scripture – For if you give, you will get! Your gift will return to you in full and overflowing measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use to give—large or small—will be used to measure what is given back to you. Luke 6:38

Thoughts about what this scripture means – Give and it will be given to you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over. What measure you use to give it will be given back to you.

Application to my life – My motive for giving can’t be to get but I serve a god who loves to bless his children. He promises to give back to us in the measure that we have given. This doesn’t mean that if I give $5 God will return to me $5. God gives better blessings. I have been given back financial blessing. I have also been given more productive time, more joy, more peace, more contentment. Usually knows okay always knows what I need before I do. Those are times God gives back in the full measure.

Response back to God – Lord thank You for Your generosity. Lord You see what I give, help me to continue to give with a generous heart that my bounty would be full, and so I can continue to give.
