Live in Safety

Concerning the tribe of Benjamin, Moses said:

“He is beloved of God

And lives in safety beside him.

God surrounds him with his loving care,

And preserves him from every harm.” Deuteronomy 33:12

Thoughts about what this Scripture means – God promises His beloved will live in safety beside Him. God will surround His beloved with His loving care. God will preserve His beloved from every harm.

Application to my life – I am God’s beloved. When I stay beside Him there is safety. Not that attacks don’t come, but they don’t impact me in the same way they do when I am farther away from God.

The reality is I am as close to God as I want to be. When I am close to Him, He surrounds me with His loving care. I can feel His tangible presence when I push in to abiding in Him and allowing in His loving care to surround me.

I think that is why I can be so overwhelmed with feelings one moment and then suddenly there is a hope larger than life that I can cling too. I feel deeply but His love surrounding me runs deeper. It is not that things won’t harm me or come up against me. It is that He preserves me from the things that come against me that would try to destroy me. He turns every attack around for His glory.

Response back to God – Lord I love you so much I pray that I would stay close and draw nearer to You with each passing day. Let me draw on You for my safety and protection. I pray I would let Your loving care surround me and flow in and through me. And that I would live beside You always in Jesus name Amen
