Focus

Scripture – But make everyone rejoice who puts his trust in you. Keep them shouting for joy because you are defending them. Fill all who love you with your happiness. Psalm 5:11

Thought about what this Scripture means – God will defend me. When I trust Him, I will have joy. Because I love Him, I will be filled with happiness.

Application to my life – I know God as my defender. I am learning His joy as I put my trust in Him. I can focus on the battles that come against me or that God is there in the midst of it. Where I keep my focus will determine my response.

Response to the Lord – God helped me choose to see Your hand instead of the works of the enemy or my poor choices! I choose to rejoice, to shout for joy and to be filled with happiness.
