Bound and Freed

ScriptureAnd I tell you this—whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven, and whatever you free on earth will be freed in heaven. MATTHEW 18:18

Thoughts about what this scripture means – God promises that what we bind in prayer is bound, what we free is freed.

Application to my life – What are things that need to be bound in my life? Definitely the enemy’s work in my life and others, my flesh, my negative thoughts and words, the things that are not godly in my life.

What needs to be freed? The fruit of Holy Spirt, finances for debt free living and Kingdom expansion, the hearts, hands, feet and voices of every believer to fulfill the plans and purposes that God destined them for in the Kingdom.

Response back to God – Lord, I love You. Thank You for the promise that I can bind and free things. Lord, I bind the work of the enemy in my life and in the life of my family and friends. Lord, allow only that working that will bring forth glory to You and further Your kingdom in this place. Lord, I bind my fleshly actions, desires and thoughts and loose only thoughts that are honorable, true, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and worthy of praise because I have the mind of Christ. Lord bind the actions of Your people that are not acting godly, that we will truly be freed to be Your hands and feet. Free Lord, the fruit of the Spirit to be active in my life and the life of Your church. Let the gifts flow freely as we submit to Your ways. Lord, free Your people from the oppression of debt, that we can meet the needs we see around us and advance Your Kingdom in this place. Free each believer from the lies of the enemy and self that would deter them from Your full calling. In Jesus name I bind and loose these things. Amen.
