Inheritance

Scripture – And since we are his children, we will share his treasures—for all God gives to his Son Jesus is now ours too. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. Romans 8:17

Thoughts about what Scripture means – I am a joint heir with Christ, sharing in His inheritance and suffering

Application to my life – As an heir of God, I have an inheritance with Christ waiting in Heaven. Since God does not die, there may also be parts of the inheritance I am receive here on earth ( like the story of the prodigal son). The kingdom of God shall be my inheritance.

Response back to God – Lord, I don’t really know what it is like to receive an inheritance. I never have, but I know that all good things come from You so my inheritance will be good. Here and in Heaven, let me be a good steward of what You place before me.
