Salty

Scripture – “You are the world’s seasoning, to make it tolerable. If you lose your flavor, what will happen to the world? And you yourselves will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. Matthew 5:13

Thought about what this Scripture means – I am the salt of the earth.

Application to my life – As Christian, we make the world more tolerable. What is part of the problem going on in this nation is that the body of Christ has begun losing its saltiness. What if we are becoming a bland topping that has nothing to offer? We mirror more of the behaviors of this world than of God’s Kingdom. What am I doing to protect my saltiness in this world? Just like salt I must stay fresh. I have to read, pray and study daily. I have to allow God to change me so I can me relative to making the world more tolerable.
