A Gift for God

Scripture – They were singing him a new song with these words: “You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it; for you were slain, and your blood has bought people from every nation as gifts for God. Revelations 5:9

Thoughts about what this Scripture means – I have been redeemed as a Gift for God.

Application to my life – Jesus’ blood was meant to redeem all, to present us as a gift to God. Only God could send His son to clean me so that I could be presented back to Him as a gift. Not only I, but people of every tribe of every nation are a gift to God. God gave us the gift of salvation and we are given back to God as a gift. God gave us the gift of salvation and we are given back to God as a gift. I have to realize that a gift in and of itself can do nothing. I can only be used for the purpose of my recipient’s choice. God choses how I am used.

Response back to God – Lord, You presented me as a gift to God. Let me live according to the purpose He has for me.
