Forgiven

Scripture – I am writing these things to all of you, my little children, because your sins have been forgiven in the name of Jesus our Savior. 1 John 2:12

Thoughts about what the Scripture means – As a child of God, my sins have been forgiven in the name of Jesus.

Application to my life – God has forgiven my sins. I do not need to carry them around like a badge of shame, guilt or condemnation. Because of Jesus, my sins are not covered; my sins are forgiven. No longer on charged to my account, He paid the price so I wouldn’t have to continue under the weight of them.

Response back to God – Lord, thank You for Your forgiveness of my sins. I am proudly Your child because of Jesus Christ.
