Chosen

Scripture – Since you have been chosen by God who has given you this new kind of life, and because of his deep love and concern for you, you should practice tenderhearted mercy and kindness to others. Don’t worry about making a good impression on them, but be ready to suffer quietly and patiently. Colossians 3:12

Thoughts about what Scripture means – I am chosen by God with a new life and should practice mercy and kindness to others because Christ has deep love and concern for me.

Application to my life – On days I feel looked over, I can rest assured in knowing God doesn’t overlook me. He chose me. I was given a new kind of life because of God’s concern for me and because He loves me. My response to this is reflected in my actions towards others. When my actions don’t reflect Him is is because I am not walking in what He gave me.

Response back to God – Lord, thank You for choosing me. Thank You for enabling me to walk out what You have given me.
