Blameless

Scripture – He has done this through the death on the cross of his own human body, and now as a result Christ has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are standing there before him with nothing left against you—nothing left that he could even chide you for; Colossians 1:22

Thoughts about what this Scripture means – I am blameless and free from accusation because of Jesus Christ.

Application to my life – Immediately a song comes to mind. Some of the words say “You call me righteous, you call me blameless, no longer guilty not any more.”

I am free in Christ from personal accusations and blameless in His sight. Attack in those two areas comes from Satan. It doesn’t matter if it is through insecurities, attack from others, or from the enemy directly; it is not from God. He will show me areas of my life I need to change but not in a way that I feel condemned. His conviction is to bring me to a place of greater intimacy with Him, not make me feel like I’m not worthy to come to Him.

Response back to God – Lord, thank you that because of the blood of Christ I am blameless in your sight. Lord help me to identify when thoughts and accusations come if they are for the purpose of drawing me closer to you or if it is just lies from the enemy meant to weaken my relationship with you. Make your voice louder than all the others.
