Completely Finished

Scripture: But he was wounded and bruised for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace; he was lashed—and we were healed! Isaiah 53:5

Thoughts about what the Scripture means: He was pierced for our rebellion crushed for our sins. Beaten so we could be whole. Whipped so we could be healed.

Application to my life: Much of what Christ did was for every one. He took every sin ever committed upon Himself to reconcile us back to God. His beating was for every person, whether they accept Him or not. He had to do it for everyone or He would not have finished it all on the cross. He took the sins of those who would seek Him with a repentant heart and He took upon Himself the sins of every person who won’t choose to seek Him. He paid the price completely; it’s up to us to receive His free gift.

He was also lashed with a whip that we could be healed. He already took every sin but He also took upon Himself every sickness and every disease. Healing was finished at the cross. In Him, we have complete healing. I can chose to walk healed, even if I don’t walk in it this side of Heaven, He already made it available.

He was beaten so we have peace and be whole. He already paid the price for me to have peace and wholeness. I can choose to walk in the peace.

The decisions are mine. He offers reconciliation, healing, peace and wholeness. He already paid the complete price. It was finished on the cross. I have to choose to be obedient and receive His free gift. I have to listen to His voice. I have to make changes and altercations as He directs, letting Him deal with the areas where I don’t have peace so that He can make me whole.

Prayer – I have to choose to walk in the peace and wholeness that you paid for. Show me where I am not and tell me what to do. Remove from me those things that are not beneficial so that my wholeness in Jesus Christ name amen
