SCRIPTURE –Now we can come fearlessly right into God’s presence, assured of his glad welcome when we come with Christ and trust in him. Ephesians 3:12
THOUUGHTS ABOUT WHAT SCRIPTURE MEANS – I can approach God with freedom and confidence.
APPLICATION TO MY LIFE – As I wrote out this Scripture, I immediately pictured myself before God in filthy rags. As I opened the door to come to His throne, I was met by Jesus. I was covered in His rightousness as I approached.
Too often, I skip going to God about things because I see myself not as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus but as someone in filthy rags. It makes me feel like I am unworthy and therefore unable to approach Holy God.
Despite my insecurities, God welcomes me. As a child runs to parents with arms outstretched so is God. He is waiting for me to fearlessly come to Him, to trust Him with who I am. Not because of me but because of Jesus Christ.
Moreover, I think God is just there with open arms. He beckons “Just stay here with Me.” He longs for the day I will fearlessly stay in His presence instead of getting what I need, lingering and then going back to my filty rags.
PRAYER – Lord, thank You that with welcoming arms You bid me “Come Stay” and that I can freely and confidently come to You. Let me keep my trust in You to stay in Your presence.
