A pause for prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for sending Your son to die on the cross for my sins and for helping me to live in Your freedom. Thank You for sending Holy Spirit to come upon me and fill me with power to be a witness and speak boldly for Your honor and glory.

Lord, I pray for salvation for the lost. That is my heart’s deepest desire.

I pray for my husband that he would know You intimately and be the man that You created him to be.

Lord, I pray for my children. I thank You that each of them has made a personal commitment to You. Help them to walk in You path every day of their lives. Give them a desire to know and serve you personally, and to obey Your voice. Fill them with Your Spirit. I pray for their friends also and the influence to point each to You. Lord, help them to be nice to everyone but to chose those close to them wisely, one’s who know You and obey You.

Lord, I pray for L.J.S. Lord, You see the addiction that has him. I pray that You would get his attention. Lord deliver Him from all drugs and alcohol. Lord as he goes this next week, help him to have complete withdrawal from substances. Make him miserable if he tries to go back into those situations where he would be tempted to use. Let him find no joy in the ways of the world or in the friends that try to encourage him to stay in the path of addiction. Make him no longer enjoy using, may just the smell of these substances make him sick to his stomach. Lord if he touches them let them make him physically sick. Help him to see You moving in His life. Lord bring him to the point of total surrender. Help him to know you and to trust You as You deliver him by Your might and your power.

Lord, I pray for marriages and families. You see the many battles coming against them, drugs, alcohol, immorality, infidelity, and cultural values. You see how families are being bombarded with activities, financial burdens, spiritual deadness – Lord save us from ourselves. Lord restore family values and family units. Bring unity and love in marriages. Keep children safe from harm.
