Lessons from Exodus 29, 30 and 31

In the dedication ceremony a young bull, two rams, and bread were brought to the tabernacle.

The priests were bathed, dressed, and then anointed.

Then the bull was killed and the blood placed on the alter and the base.

The fat, kidneys, and gallbladder were burnt.

Then the rest was taken outside the camp and offered as a burnt offering for sin.

Then one of the rams is offered as a sacrifice.

Then the second lamb was killed, it was used to anoint Aaron and his sons along with oil

The priests ate the bread and offering ram.

Each morning for seven days a bull was sacrificed along with two rams.

God continued to give specific instruments to the people about the upkeep of the temple and incense.

God had a specific job for specific people/ What is the specific job God has for me?

God meant for His people to rest on the Sabbath, those who don’t must die. This was aa perpetual covenant.

Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death. Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever. It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed. Exodus 31:15-17
