It has been one week. I would like to say I came back from the conference ready to set this place on fire, but I didn’t. I know I came back changed. There are small differences. Things like, I don’t really want to watch television, especially the soaps and other shows that I know have a questionable message. I also have a song in my heart and a peace about me that was not there before.
Of course, the little words below when spoken bring a quiet reminder from God about my passion and purpose.
Whatever: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord and not for people. Colossians 3:23
Something “But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19 (NLT)
and
Now: “Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago. Watch for the new thing I am going to do. It is happening already—you can see it now! I will make a road through the wilderness and give you streams of water there. Isaiah 43:18-19
I pray that I sustain and continue to grow in my relationship with God as I serve others.
