The Grace of Charity

I was watching Robert Morris this morning "What's so Amazing about Grace" sermon.  He gave a definition of grace as "the unmerited, undeserved, unearned kindness and favor of God."  It struck me, and was completely untied to the message that God always gives us a chance to walk out, to be like Him, here on... He is There

Scripture: O Lord, you have examined my heart    and know everything about me.2 You know when I sit down or stand up.    You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.3 You see me when I travel    and when I rest at home.    You know everything I do.4 You know what I am going to say    even before I say it, Lord.5 You go before me... The Steps

Dare to Ask

Scripture: Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes. Come to Him

The passage from Philippians 4:9 encourages practicing the teachings of Jesus, assuring that God's peace will accompany those who do so. The reflection emphasizes the completeness of Jesus' work on the cross, implying that He fulfills all needs. The application calls for trusting in God's provision rather than relying solely on personal effort.

Winning together

Yesterday my son-in-law made a comment that was so profound and simple.  My two daughters, my son-in-law and I were playing Baggo after family dinner.  The first round he was teamed with my daughter, his wife.  They won.  The second round he was teamed with me.  He won.  His wife lost. The third round He was teamed with... God Understands Me

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:15-16 Thoughts - Jesus cares... Continue Reading →

He Gets Me

God knows every detail about me, cares deeply, and actively involves Himself in my life. Despite any obstacles, He can act. He knows my thoughts, guides and supports me, and has a plan for my life. Feeling disconnected is natural, but God understands, loves, and never leaves. I am connected to Him always.
