I often pray "God, help me to see that person as you see them so I can love them with your love." I think that God gives me glimpses of others, but this week He gave me a true view from His Word. I have been reading in Exodus during my morning devotion and got a view of God's perspective.
Awaken Us
Today I had the opportunity to sit in a local church that was distributing assistance to those in need. When I drove up the place was packed with cars. People were coming in and out, talking among themselves and eating and drinking refreshments that were provided. Honestly, it looked like most churches, most Sundays. I... Continue Reading →
The Gate of Hell
As we broke out tonight into smaller prayer circles at Awakening, one of the pastors from another church shared a word and encouraged us in our need to be Steadfast. Strong activity in the spiritual realm often looks like nothing in the natural for a while. As we were praying, God gave me a vision... Continue Reading →
He Called the Church
Tonight I was at Awakening, a community prayer group focused on praying for the region weekly. During corporate prayer, I was praying for those things that God placed on my heart. Ministering where they are
My pastor has said “truth either offends or transforms you.” It is my experience that sometimes it is in the delivery of the truth that offense comes. When you go to people where they are, it is the living Word ablaze in your life that ministers to them. The Word must be planted deep inside... Continue Reading →
It Doesn’t Matter
I was reading through the genealogy of Christ in Matthew 1, and I noticed something that has escaped my attention until now. There are four women listed in addition to Jesus mother, Mary. My curiosity peaked about the life of these women and why, above the men they represent, they are listed in this otherwise all male genealogy. Who were these women?
The Samaritan
The deeper lesson of the Luke 10:30-37 is found in I John 3:17 But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
